Itemory — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
Itemory ("the App") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Inventory data: The items, warehouses, folders, descriptions, barcodes, quantities, photos, and custom fields you enter are stored locally on your device (a local database). This data is not uploaded to any server except as described below for the AI feature.
- Account identifier: The App uses an anonymous identifier (created automatically) so the AI feature can work. If you choose to sign in with an email address and password, that email is stored by our authentication provider.
- AI processing data: When you use the "AI organize" feature, the description text you enter (and your warehouse's custom-field definitions) is sent to our server and forwarded to a third-party AI processing service to generate structured suggestions. Your photos, barcodes, and other inventory data are not sent for AI processing — only the text you typed for that purpose.
- Diagnostics: The App may collect basic, non-identifying diagnostic information (such as error reports and app version) to help us fix bugs.
2. How we use information
- To provide and operate the inventory and AI features you request.
- To identify you when using server-provided features (an anonymous identifier).
- To improve the App and fix errors.
3. Third-party services
- We use trusted third-party service providers for cloud authentication, server-side processing, and the file storage needed to operate the AI feature.
- We use a third-party AI processing service to handle the description text you submit via the AI feature.
- We do not sell your personal data.
4. Permissions
- Camera: used only to scan barcodes/QR codes and take photos you explicitly request.
- Storage: used to save photos you add to items.
5. Data storage and security
Your inventory data stays on your device. Account identifiers and AI-request text are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). We follow reasonable security practices to protect the limited data handled by our servers.
6. Your choices and account deletion
- Delete your account and associated cloud data at any time:
- Open the App, go to Settings → Account → "Delete account".
- Confirm; optionally check "Also delete all data on this device".
This permanently deletes your account, your feedback / crash reports, and any screenshots you uploaded. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. No data is retained after deletion.
- To request deletion by email instead, write to molarlujin@gmail.com from the email address you used for the account, and we will delete the account and associated data within a reasonable time.
- You may sign out of your account without deleting it; doing so does not remove your on-device inventory data.
- You may delete the App and all local data at any time (uninstalling removes locally stored inventory data).
7. Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
